its a sugar bowl. at least that's what I use it for.

So whadda ya gonna say about it?? ;-) ;-) This is a rather heavy glass jar along with a metal lid. (shown with a typical Bic lighter for size reference) Both pieces came from a large tub at cleanout house #1 that ended up containing as many 'things without lids' as 'lids without things' than it did any two things that really did go together -- these two *mostly* fit but the lid is somewhat loose on it, so I have doubts whether they truly belong together or not.

The jar itself is unmarked with only fleabites at its top corners where it becomes truly cylindrical for the lid. (which sits completely down on it, this lid at least?) I don't know what metal the lid is made of or plated with, it has a sorta pineapple knob on it but no stamps or marks whatsoever. I also haven't even tried to polish it to see what it does, nor has it changed any with a few months of regular usage on my kitchen counter.

So that's it. Suggestions welcomed and all that, but it makes a pretty decent sugarbowl anyway...?? :-) :-) :-)
