This is a pre-colombian trophy full-groove axe, made of hardstone and found in Tennessee. This is a pre-Colombian piece. i'm trying to figure out the best way to display it.

Interesting there are no signs of wear or weathering on an item that old.

I wonder if it might not have been from a plundered grave and made for the burial, so no wear or signs of use?

kwqd - trophy axes are often found w/ no wear - just used ceremonially. Although i'm sure that some have been from plundered graves in some parts, they are most often found along streambeds in the southeast.
