This is the classic background colour for opalescent lines, though this is the first example I've found with red spots. The forming of the shape has played havoc with the usually straight lines.
Height 12 cm/4.25 inches Width 16 cm./6.25 inches
Not that the result is unattractive in any way but the lines do seem a bit wonky.
The result is a very different piece that still hits the mark.
The blue rim is a great topper!
The cobalt trail around the rim is indeed wonky, Karen. I think there is a scale of difficulty, easiest being round, harder being square and hardest being hexagonal. And further this rim is long and undulating with corners. The skill and experience of the worker would also come into play. I could probably do a whole post on the vagaries of this rim decoration!
If I waited for the perfect rim I'd never buy one, so I have to be tolerant :)

Such a cool Art Deco piece! Congratulations Peggy!
Your little purple one seems not so wonky but it could be the decor hides it a bit.
I actually like some imperfection in my glass, it really shows a human made it.
Thank you, Michelle. It scores in two collecting areas so good to have.
I think you have a good point, Karen, Hand made pieces are always going to show their history to some extent.
