This large vase is 10 inches high by about 9 inches wide - bulbous in the top narrowing to a narrow/small base. No signature or mark that i can find, so it is probably Chinese. What do you think?

I'm no expert but the lack of a full polish to the base..... But then again it's a lovely vase and seems to have depth to it. I have a couple of vases myself that I mean to show that I suspect are Chinese but they also are also great pieces of glass so I don't really care since as with this one whoever made it has great skill!
well probably the maker was inspired by a Venini Balaton ,
thank you BHIFOS and apostata.
Agree, probably Chinese, based on the matte finish to the base. The Chinese make some really nice glass. The biggest issue I have with Chinese art glass is that the country is so large and so many different folks are making glass, that attributing it to a maker will be very difficult. Still, I have knowingly bought several pieces of cool Chinese art glass.
I stand corrected! This was made by Cohn-Stone Studios here in Richmond, CA. They do wonderful work! one trained at Orrefors and the other w/ Dale Chihuly!
A couple days after i figured out who made this piece, i was contacted by Molly Stone - completely unrelated to my find - to work on her garden. what a coincidence!
