    WolfHawk
    (1 item)

    10 inches long.
    2 halves out together lengthwise.
Nothing inside to make noise like a maraca or rattle.
No wear and tear indicating it was used as a percussive instrument.

    Unsolved Mystery

Does it open in any way, so something could/might have been in it? My first guess was also some sort of percussion instrument even though you are thinking otherwise, but that's just from the one pic. (and you have the item to hold in your hand, etc)

      2 halves out together lengthwise.

What does that mean? Are you trying to say it is two pieces? Does it open? If it is hollow it has to be two pieces so could you explain?

It was found by a friend of mine at a Red Racks (2d hand store).

It does not come apart. She noticed the join running the length of the item outside in the sun. I am asking for more pics. Stay tuned and thank you!

I have a short video, but it looks like I can't upload a video.

The handle is solid. One of the pics appears to show a seam, but it doesn't look glued.

does it make a nice sound when you slap it in your hand, or bang it on your desk?

Hit it with a drum stick (or similar). It will make a percussion noise. It had to be glued, because the wood grains are different. You can post the video to YouTube or Facebook or TikTok, etc., and post the link to it.

It's got to be a tone block of some sort.

It makes no particular noise when hit against anything.

I was thinking of those wooden ribbed frogs...I bought one recently and gave it to the youngest grandkids. Has a stick you rub against it for sound.

If it is some kind of percussion instrument it shows no signs of wear and tear.

      Is it hollow?
