Here, as with previous topics, I would like to show how a design element runs through the production of the Loetz company.
Here, too, it is sufficient to create new decors again and again by making small changes in color, different crumbs, threads or overlays. The "wave optic" decor was introduced in 1904. A particularly nice example for me is "Candia wave optic with red dots", PN II 1999. This lampshade was made in 1904. Colorless glass with numerous red melted points, blown, blown out and shaped into the wave-optical shape. Then reduced and iridescent. Height 23.5 cm. Such lamp glasses hung in the ladies' room of the Villa Spaun, see a photo by Waltraud Neuwirth "Lötz 1905-18", pages 50/51.
In the case of the other pieces shown in the photo, one can see very well that the main feature is the wave-optical structure. This also applies to the "Oceanic" decor and the "Execution" 58.
Thank you to all, Merci beaucoup à tous, Dankeschön an alle!
