Here is a 2 3-4"H deep purple-blue glass frog with hand painted floral & dragonfly accents that was item #5274 designed by Jon Saffell for Fenton ca '01

What an adorable glass frog!!!! His facial expression is so cute and the floral dragonfly and purple color are stunning. You photography of this piece is outstanding. Well done! :- )
Cutest frog ever! I love his bright alert eyes and the way he seems to have a little smile and is poised perfectly for jumping. His colour is also lovely too, a really deep navy blue? There's rainforest frogs in those kind of vivid blues and he really reminds me of those.
So Fenton liked a bit of paint on their items and usually it makes them a bit twee for me, but the painting in this frog is perfect. No wonder she is smiling.
I find the colour a deep cobalt blue also, love it !~

Aw Lauren, I'm really glad you thought this frog super cute, and yes I think the little painted mouth is bringing out its smile! You are right that rainforest frogs in the Amazon are colored bluish, that is a place I've always wanted to visit but must refrain as there is still alot of virus there :( Well, one day I hope. Yes a very unusual Fenton color, indoors it looks deep purple, outside deep blue w. purple highlights. Thank you for your fabulous praise as always
Karen you are so right about Fenton's painted animals, sometimes they are rather 'twee' as you say, and normally I go for their clear colored glass ones but I really loved this unusual frog (it gets boring to me to do same old, although most of my animals are repeaters, hard to find new varieties). The artist who did the hand painting was really good, love the dragonfly, there is an artist signature on base but it's a scrawl so I didn't photograph it. Thank you for your awesome praise as usual
Absolutely true Phil, in the sunlight this frog is really more of a cobalt blue, very observant fantastic comment there! I am helping to repaint my sunny living room this weekend with nice off-white walls, so I'm hoping to get better indoor pix of darker glass animals like this one soon. Very happy that you loved this frog
