Hello I have this bowl which has a matching spoon to go with it, had it boxed and put away for years and have no idea of the previous history before I got it. But guess it was once a cabinet piece, anyone able to tell me more about it please
this is most likely an KARAKO scene -t so chinese children on an japanese bowl
probably an pine-butterfly- peony
actually this is an sort of whisfull thinking The little children design on pottery symbolizes health for sons & daughters and duration and longevity
mostly the amount of children ought to be oneven , because rumour has it that een event amount bring bad luck
when it is made i don,t know , i dont think it is old

is there no scene inside the bowl, the pine is dominating the scene , part of three friends of winter ?, i don,t know. maybe it,is children getting getting a butterfly scene it is the heavingly stylised , to determine a three friends of winter
no it is not three a three friends of winter there is no repetitive
