What a difference a few more hours hath made, from this:

To THIS shown here, now?!!! When I went to bed last night I had one dog in the backyard. When I got out of bed this morning we were to abouts 1.5 -- and as of this writing I've now gots NINE out there curled up comfortably in a pile....??? <WOWWOWWOWWOWWOW>
Yes, friends, we're the proud papas (myself, my partner, and Woda kitty who actually alerted us in the first place) of EIGHT -- count 'em EIGHT absolutely adorable mini-Oreos, seemingly all healthy and happy and squeaky and all the other things newborn puppies are supposed to be. Oreo did a great job of her first (only?!!) birthing process all by herself, but seeming also kinda happy (comforted?) that I was also hanging around to pet her and talk to her. Now she's out there resting comfortably with the new ones all doing their thing to get to the teats, I put packing blankets out there on/with her and them all to curl up in if she wants, and a bowl of fresh water. Her looks at me while doing that seemed to be saying "thank you, I'm SO glad that's over with, can I sleep now???" <LOL>
Her firstborn was, as shown already, her spotted dalmation coloration. There's another spotted one, two mostly white, three mostly black, and one mostly black with brown highlights. (if I'm tallying correctly) That one must be the one with his daddy's bit of color (we think it was brown anyway?) and to me they all look like they have more of his nose/snout than their Mommas, but maybe that's just me...? Not sure how many boys/girls yet, but at least one of each.
Oh, dear dear dear again. Now I'm gonna get to find out how to care for puppies until I can find *eight* good new homes for them...how long does that take, and more importantly how do I keep myself from falling (any further) in love with all the new ones??
<GROAN><LOLOL>
EDIT Monday morning with a new photo -------- there were 8 last nite when I went to bed...now there's **NINE** perfect little babies out there...Momma Oreo got up and around for a little while this morning leaving me to watch 'em...she trusts me... :-) :-) :-)
That is a lot of doggies. Have fun. Watch out for Cruella.
They are adorable!!
Gorgeous.
Very cute little family!! Congrats!
OH, DEAR... (again)
Last nite's final tally before I went to bed was a comfortable Oreo Momma and eight little ones. THIS morning she's got **NINE**little pink babypuppy faces out there...
<lol>
THANKS ALL, for the comments and <love it>s -- Oreo appreciates y'all along with me! :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)
That’s really a pile of puppies! Oreo must be overrun with hungry little ones looking for their share.
Give sweet Oreo an extra pat on the head from me.
Cute little puppies...shouldn't be hard at all to find them homes when ready.
The brown one is super cute! When I raised mice, I was always amazed how genomes worked and you'd get that one or two different colors in a pile of white mice.
