I got this radio about a year ago and during the winter I replaced the capacitors and did some rewiring.
There is a metal cable that controls the dial , so it had to be replaced, and I put in a new 6E5 eye tube.
The controls were cleaned, tubes checked, and the radio was aligned
Now the radio plays very good.
I did put a photo of this radio on show and tell earlier, and that was before I did any work on it.
Now you can see the difference in the cabinet. There are not too many of these radios around
,especially with the preset tuning dial and the very bright lighted dial.
I hope you enjoy the photos.

It’s extremely nice
That's just spectacular -- the radio itself, and the obvious results of all the work you've put into it!!! <applause> That must have been an expensive model when new with all its features, now its ready for another century of life! :-)
I love it! I have memories of my grandparents’ huge cabinet radio. In my granddaddy’s retirement and downsizing, I don’t know what became of that radio but it would be a treasure to me now. I hope someone is taking good care of it somewhere.
Granddaddy wound up with a small radio which sat on the bookshelf and took up very little space.
Thanks for showing us yours....it’s just fabulous that you have it working and shining brightly!
