I can't find any French Flintlock Pistol like this on line. I assume that it is a replica, but I think that I am seeing authentic patina everywhere other than the screws. I thought maybe a toy, but it is heavy, at 2lbs 14 ounces and measures 16". It appears Art Nouveau is style. Any help that I could get on this one would be helpful and appreciated...

You are correct-- it is not a functioning weapon (frizzen spring is not functioning and cast as part of the lock, back of the hammer is flat, jaw screw to hold the flint doesn't appear to turn).

Looks to be an early 20th century decorator piece.

Appears to be all metal-- an original would have a wood stock.

The Brev. may be for the French Brevet meaning.
