A fresh piece to my collection:
A late 18th Century Royal Crown Derby, Hand Painted Bottle Vase.
Beautiful Floriate & Acanthus type scrolling hand painted decoration with liberally applied burnished gold gilding.
It has the "Crown over crossed batons with D below" in puce makers mark as well as an old British Antique Dealers Association Seal.
EDIT: Have added the original auction listing picture of the makers mark, I believe it's the 1770 to 1782 mark
Beautiful vase, the feathery design is just gorgeous
Isn't it though!
I fell in love with it when I saw it and had to have it. It's only little but in absolute pristine condition.
I would appreciate seeing a photo of the mark, as well as knowing the size of the piece. Many thanks. Does the mark give an indication of the date the vase was made?
I'm not sure how to add further photos however I gave an accurate description of the Derby mark it has on its base in my description.
It's about 15cm tall.
