Chevrolet Hood Emblem 1949-1951 For the Deluxe, Styleline and Fleetline

In the long ago cars not only had a hood ornament they had a hood emblem as well. Actually the hood emblem is still around on Chevrolet but it is just the basic Chevrolet emblem and it is usually on the grill I think. This is ever so much ornate. It was originally more colorful with a blue Chevy emblem in a field of yellow or red. Not quite sure there. OK going with red.
Cars of the past would have the make and model all over the car and on the inside so you would not forget what you are driving. The other day I forgot what I was driving and I had to get out and walk all around the car. It has the emblem on the front and the model on the back.
Anyway this is nice three dimensional display for my wall. I still have a Chevrolet Apache side spear to put up there so stay tuned for that.
