This "flower tree" (PN II 1090/171, 44 cm) was shown in 1904 at the world exhibition in Saint Louis. Here it is decorated with "Golden rose of China" (Rosa hugonis). The shaft and the upper part were optically blown from colorless glass with a fine ribbed finish. The foot has been attached and an irregular pinched star pattern can be seen on the underside. Half the shaft and the foot were spun irregularly with a colorless thread. Openings were then drilled in nine rows. There are various such flower trees from the Lötz company as a hut variant, see PN II 4210 and PN II 4211, similar table decorations of this type (PN II 4431, PN II 4432, PN II 4432/1) are also attributed to Leopold Bauer. These attributed glass objects are very similar to the MK design 1090/136. Waltraud Neuwirth in the book "Loetz Austria 1905-1918", page 148, states that this flower tree (PN 1090/171) is a design by Leopold Bauer. This can now be refuted with the pattern book by Jitka Lnenickova and the book "Lötz" Volume 2.
The glass shown here does not have a signature.
