Regent Gas Sign

We bought this nice Regent Gasoline sign in the ring from a friend in Canada and it has been quite the ordeal getting it shipped to us but it finally arrived yesterday. Regent gas signs are very rare both in Canada and the USA. We feel lucky to have one in the Lakeside Museum. I doubt anyone will ever realize that’s it’s Canadian not American? It’s a pretty old sign as the Regent Oil Co started in 1920 from what I can find. I added a pic of what looks like a mid fifties Regent gas station to show how the signs were displayed. Not sure exactly when it started nor what Co absorbed it, nor when? Hard to believe it’s not all shot up since it looks like a big Bullseye to me.
