Vintage Indian Temple
I didn't know what else to call this interesting object that I found in an antique shop. It is great for display.

No, not leather but wish it was. TY!
well i am a nitwit in this , personnaly i think you have to follow the standard procedure, namely mandir versus jharokha design
i did,not know which part of India but the frequency tells me its nothern india, utar pradesh or rajastan
i don,t know the symbol, but if a ground plane has a symbol it,s a promising indication
hard to say if it is a coating of real brown bronze, probably it is coating
the seams are still nice, they are not hung out
relief is rather not a shallow incisio , because it is plating
i think you have done well, hard to date i am just guessing 50 or something , your guess is as good as mine
i wonder why they overplated it
apostata,
Thank your for telling me a lot more than I knew. I bought it because I loved it, without knowing a darn thing about it. Thank you also for the approximate age. I never thought that it was very old. I appreciate the time that you took in your great comment!
