Curated in the wilds! (An Amazing Thrift Shop Find). The intricate glaze and border design on this small Chinese brush washer is divine and the rim is very unique! Three different colored Chrysanthemum blooms and a lovely Bird. Fine Calligraphy mark on back. Really Special!

actually it costed me a awfull lot of time to judge if the ruyi heads were real, but they probably are , because there is a difference in the stroke (frotte), the mark on the reverse of the plate is in this case essential, but even then i probably never find out

watch it strange it look like they an qianlong mark , actually i like i guess an sort of late republic ,sort of part stencil ware, still good enough well done

Very Interesting... All I know, is that this piece of Porcelain, heavy for its size... would be difficult to make with the way the rim is formed, the way the sides are formed and the way the base is formed. And I cannot even imagine how they were able the paint the chrysanthemums the way they did... the more I look at it and handle it, the more and more I am impressed with it.

i stick to my mening because in this way the mark is hardly used before genshen xinyou and renxu, which is the chinese equivalent of 1920-1921-1922

at least the under limit is known now i think because the quangxy period run out birds are different ,

formally spoken antique is more the than 100 years
the republic period of porcelain is from 1912-1949
and i stated this :actually i like i guess an sort of late republic ,sort of part stencil ware, thats the upper limit-1949
and i stated the underlimit could not be before 1922

the list is chronological , and we are limited by means of the The ‘Jiangxi Xin Zhong Hua’ marks which was used after 1949. Prior to this time the ‘Nanchang Xin Zhong Hua’ mark was used.

believe me this is made 1943-1946, which actually is late republic

timewise i think you got the better part of the glazing compared to the wider republic spread
