This stool is about 29.5" high and the seat is about 12.5" in diameter. I think it is pretty old, made of old pine, as it is quite heavy. I did not weigh it... Because it was reserved for a fan and human beings were warned to avoid it, I suspect that this stool spent many years in a shop or store someplace and then more years in a basement.
I walk three miles most evenings, usually fairly late at night. I think I walked about 11 pm last night and was about a mile into my walk when I came upon what looked to be the result of pretty brutal eviction, which included furniture, stereo equipment, CDs, DVDs, records, etc. Some of the furniture looked to be pretty old. I always carry a red light flashlight with me, so I took a few minutes to walk around the pile and noticed this stool fairly entangled in the pile. I took a few minutes to work it loose and it looked to be both old and of good quality so I carried it two miles home. It was a definite arm workout.
I have been looking for a new raised platform to use for a bird feeding table and thought this might work. My old table, really a footstool that I set a mylar cutting board on, has rotted away after a couple of decades. I don't think I will use this as it will eventually rot away, too, so the search continues.
Having the ability to carry only one thing like this a fair distance home, I resolved to go back the next day, in the opposite direction, reducing my pack mule route to about a mile, to see if anything else looked promising and something was, which will be a curb find #2 post.
Another Stool Saved for a Fanny! :^D Good Job Kevin! Bill :^)
