This is a steam power plant that I purchased at an engine show in western PA recently. It was 90% complete and I had only a little to do for completion of the project.
You can run it on steam from the coal fired boiler, or you can run it on air via a line that I put under the base. I ran it on air after I completed the job and it runs great even at a slow speed.
It has everything necessary to fire-up safely by coal,... a water recovery pump, a water level gauge, a pressure gauge, a displacement lubricator, a steam pressure relief valve, an iron grate for the coal and an ash pit, and a blow down valve for the boiler and water level sight glass.
Katie had to inspect it, which gives it a good size comparison.
(P.S. I have the stickers on to identify the different items. They must be removed if run on steam or they will melt from the heat. )
Katie is just checking your work- giving it her approval.
At my house, no project is complete until my cats, MissKitty and Uno have given it a thorough check.
yea, they don't miss a trick
