this coin has a title Constantinople year 1277 Hijri.
it is a very lovely coin and in a good shape as shown in the image. the 1277 Hijri is related to year 1860,1861.
when you look at this coin date, you look at it and notice how important this coin was during that period of time.
10 Para
Sultan Abdülaziz (1861-1876)
1277 (1864)
mrsaikaly, Cool. :-)
As IVAN49 wrote, it's a coin from the reign of Sultan Abdülaziz:
http://www.theottomans.org/english/family/abdulaziz.asp
Sultan Abdülaziz seems to have led a bit of a checkered life:

IVAN49, I'm looking at both the ten and twenty Para coins, and the obverse of the coin in this post looks to me more like the twenty:

Is it possible that the reverse is worn/damaged just enough to make the denomination look more like ten?
I added a closer image for it. IT Seems to me a 20 para as you stated rather than a 10.
Thank you for these lovely information.
Hi again, mrsaikaly. :-)
Thank you for the added close-up photograph of the center of the reverse side of your coin.
It doesn't look like wear or damage to the denomination character makes interpreting it difficult.
When I looked closer at the ten and twenty Para coins at numista, it seems to me that there is less space between the bottom of the ten character, and the little square than there is between the bottom of the twenty character and the little square.
I found another Turkish ten Para coin. Actually, a proof:
https://www.ngccoin.com/price-guide/world/turkey-10-para-km-700-1277-4-cuid-1101714-duid-1549968
You can see that it's unambiguously a 10 Para, yet the obverse side looks like the twenty Para coin at numista.
Why the obverse side of the ten Para coin at numista has so many more characters on it, I don't know.
It would take somebody with much more knowledge than I have to explain.
However, I do think that your coin is a ten Para.
20 para is heavier: 10.65 g
10 para weight is 5.2 g.
IVAN49, Yes, the twenty Para coin is larger than the ten Para coin, both in weight and diameter, which seems sensible.
However, what mystified me was the differences in the obverse design between two coins of the same denomination, and Islamic/Hijri year.
I found another ten Para coin at Numista, and it has the same obverse design as the one in this post:
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces22605.html
The Islamic/Hijri year is 1277 again, but the Western year is 1864 (instead of 1861).
Also, this coin is "Year 4," whereas the other ten Para coin is "Year 1."
They must have tweaked the design between Year 1 and Year 4 besides just changing the year.
Overall, I think this coin is more like the one in this post.
