      this is a curiosity

what does it read, it reads Tongzhi Nian Zhi - "Tongzhi (1862-1874) Period Made

most of the time the styling of this mark is used for Kamcheng, which means lidded box in Hokkien dialect for the Straits ( with a capital S ) which is meant to be export porcelain for lets say Malaysia Singapore etc Penang

this type is different stylized used during the so called Dayazhai Qiangjiang pieces, but i ruled that out because it is white porcelain and the stylizing is diffent

i run this on the chinese equivalent of the years dating one by one i could not find it

so we have to run this on application
What is the nitty gritty , i think the application , is this bas or front relief , i think it is transfer ware , well that, is not a disaster , and it is better to combine with the pressed mark

personny i think ( but i can,t substantiate ) it is a precursor of the later Cao Kung Chang Zao ware , , so it could not be related to Straits ware

if we have to date this i think it is more likely to be late Guanghu period then Tongzhi
      so possible around 1900

i think it is a curiosity , and i think is underrated, you have done well congrats

      greetings Waki
