Here is something completely random I have no use for buy hey it was $5 so what the heck. I have a small collection of models I will never build and don't normally collect.
Back in the 1950s when plastic models began the model companies made models parents would want their children to build. Thus a dog model. Something nice and wholesome. In the early 1960s Aurora made the first Frankenstein model and the era of nice wholesome models was over.
This wholesome Boxer model was made by ITC which was the model division of Ideal Toys. They lasted from some time in the late 1950s until the early 1960s. The model appears to be complete and has the instructions and the paint palette. The paint palette is seen in photo #3. Looks like water colors. I recommend regular model paints instead.
I may glue it together and put it in my random stuff display.

I think models to assemble and paint went the way of the paper dolls with all the different outfits held on by little paper tabs at the shoulders and waist.

Thank you very much Watchsearcher. Models were huge in the 60s and 70s. Too expensive for kids to buy now.

Thank you very much again Ms.CrystalShip. There were tons of iconic models back then like that like Rommel's Rod which also had skeletons.
