The design of this rabbit is from 1906, PN II 3970, candia silberiris martele, length 17.8 cm
I was very happy when a dealer friend of mine offered me this Loetz rabbit over the phone. I knew some animals from the Lötz company, but I only knew the rabbits from the paper cuttings; I had never seen one of them before. As already reported in the previous article, there were rabbits standing upright, with a basket PN II 5343, or with an egg-shaped basket PN II 5344, these two designs probably go back to an earlier Kirschner design, PN 1090/173 (1904/5) . Although I couldn't see the rabbit, I bought it over the phone straight away. Later it turned out that no such specimen had yet appeared in a collection known to me. A short time later there was a second piece on Loetz.com in crystal martele '.

    Loetz: Hase

This bunny is beautiful with it’s iridescent sparkle…just perfect without flowers but a little bouquet of wild violets and crocus would be sweet.
