These are a pair of T´zu Chou vases that I purchased from the estate of a socialite from Texas (that was the description and never knew her complete name) I was told they are from the Ming period. I just love them.

In the purchase description was mentioned that they were probably Song, Ming or Qing and one of them has a republic period wooden lid. I posted them later to a Chinese group and they were dated to the Ming period. Thank you very much for your comments.

i am not so fond of the left one the discoloration vaporise the value, i am not skilled enough personnay i don,t see connection with song nor yuan, not even even to the song or yuan style, the right one i like , i see it as a style on his own ( it is not the caramel style) i think the dating is right but i am just quessing

I love the patina. I give a lot of credence to the marks of age.
It's so good the wooden lid has remained with the jar and it's such a great lid too.
