I found this little print and fell in love with the cat. The way it hovers over the flower pots or is he laying behind the flower pots? It measures 6 1/2" x 4 1/2". It's numbered and initials for the signature. I haven't decided where to hang it. I want it to be seen, but it's so small.

Is it really "REQUIEM" (as in 'after the funeral') or something else? TOTALLY CUTE CAT anyways about it, but those last couple letters just don't look right...?

AnythingObscure, it is RequiesCat. Yup, I believe it a wish or prayer for the repose of a dead person. Wow! Okay...don't know what to say. Is the cat alive? Oh good grief!

I think that's a tombstone. Lord, people put your glasses on!

      Yes, "REQUIESCAT IN PACE":

So the only mystery left is the artist.

      <DOHHH> "REQUISE - *CAT*" -- I get it now... <groan>

And of course you're correct what one of those is thus what the words mean Raven -- "requiescat in pace (pacem) is from the Latin meaning roughly "rest in peace".

Keramikos and AnythingObscure, thank you. That cat was on his way to the shelf, thank you for the information.
