The old tin can used to hold one pound of BOWERS Old Fashioned PEANUT CRUNCH, but no longer. The paper label taped to its lid says "old buttons 1/2 full". Somebody's estimation of half full was somewhat off, the canister is actually nearly full of all shapes and sizes of buttons, along with safety and straight pins and assorted other little things, made of various materials . . . what more does one say about a whole bunch of old buttons?? (and/or what does one *do* with them???)
I spread them out on a metal tray, pic 2 is the whole mess, pics 3 & 4 are each end of that taken with flash. If anybody wants more info or closer pics of anything, speak up!!! :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)
AnythingObscure, Hmmm, I had wondered how peanut brittle came to be categorized under sewing. };-)
Any household that has somebody who sews probably has a container full of loose buttons.
