Me and my friend were digging through his grandparents basement and found this, it was super corroded and faded when we found it, so we used brass cleaner and steel wool and a lot of elbow grease and it looks as good as new, and boy did his grandparents have a smile after seeing it restored!! Anyway, I was just curious if anyone had info on this light, and if so, what I was mostly wondering was what kind of car/transportation/ mount/ e.t.c would this have gone to and also how old is it? Is it at all rare or valuable? Thanks for any info you can provide,

Gage_robertson_collector, Cool. :-)
It looks like it's some variety of a Dietz Dainty Lamp:

Here's one of the Dietz automotive lamp patents:

Looking at this again, and it's not clear to me whether you have a tail lamp or a side lamp:

Perhaps a side lamp.
