We were given this desk several years ago from my parents house. It was believed to be a lawyers desk based on the contents at the time. I have been searching for another like it and can't find anything. Originally the desk top was a canvas type material that was ripped and dried out. We carefully pulled it off and discovered the lighter desk top and kept it that way. Would love to know more about this style or any information anyone has to share.
Ollie, gorgeous. :-)
FYI, you might want to try editing your pictures to reorient the ones that are sideways. Just shorten the long sides of the rectangular images a bit, then edit the post, replacing the badly oriented copies with the edited ones. Sometimes that's all it takes.
A Wooton desk is the term my brain was looking for:

However, I don't think yours is a Wooton, even though it has a lot of cubby holes. :-(
Are there any marks on the back or drawers?
On the other hand, it might be a Wooton, just not one of the ones that fold.
I haven’t found any markings, names etc.. unless it’s on the back of desk and I haven’t pulled it away from wall yet
I love all those drawers on the right hand side, very much like a collectors cabinet, this is a beautiful desk, possibly an architect, a dentist or a collector owned !~
Soooooo did you find all or hidden draws yet,,,hmmmmm ? I had one made out of rose wood ...was missing the roll top slide ,,I took on off a C roll top cut it to size and stain it ... had to sell it when I moved it brought good money but miss it ... I'll post it for ya...smilin
