In 1915 United Freiburger Uhrenabriken Aktiengesellschaft including Formerly Gustav Becker, Freiburg I. Silesia manufactured the "Brummer 1914". It was modeled after a shell or grenade that was being used in World War I , which was going on when this clock was manufactured. I've included the German and a translation of the introductory ad for the clock.
The Brummer 1914 is an annular clock, the top opening displays the minute, and the lower the hour. The band above the minuet window has "Brummer" printed on it, the top bottom band has "Modell 1914" on it, with nothing on the bottom band. The silver dome on top is the alarm bell.
The movement controls on the bottom has a winding arbor for the clock and alarm, and two knobs, one to set the clock, and one to set the alarm and the usual Slow - Fast mechanism. The maker's mark on the bottom is Gustav Becker's mark. It is a 30 hour clock and has to be wound daily, it runs beautifully and keeps excellent time.
This is miscatagorized as "trench art", This clock was made in a factory, not in the trenches of WWI.
What a Brummer !!.!.!! Fabulous !!!
