Brunswick centennial pocket balls. Made in Belgium. Original price tag still on box, $199. Pretty good condition. Not sure what year they were made, assuming late 60's to early 70's.

allythcat, Cool. :-)
Being that the price tag has a bar code and UPC number, that would make it no earlier than 1974, probably the 1980s or later:

Pertaining to Saluc the Belgian maker:

From Tom Simpson on RSB newsgroup years ago..... 1981 is the answer you are looking for.
"You must have spoken with my buddy Bob Simpson (no relation)
of Hyatt Ball. I called him today to look into this matter.
He made the Centennials until 1981, when Saluc "stole the
contract by taking a big loss on it." He assures me that yes
indeed, when Hyatt made them, the Blue Circles and the Red
Circles were identical. The only difference was the Blue
Circles were held to a tighter tolerance (+/- .001)."

So no earlier than 1981.
Anyone have any idea what they might be valued?
We don't usually like to discuss "values" of things here, allythecat, that's kinda against the rules of Show & Tell. (they're worth 'what you paid for them' or 'what someone else will buy them for'...)
HOWEVER -- I'm slightly surprised to see that these sold for $199 when new -- I didn't have any idea that a set of billiard balls would cost that much. (but suppose it stands to reason...?) I think I paid $1.99 for the set I have, that I don't have a table or cues to use them with... <lol>
???? lol, well, thankfully I didn't pay that! $1.99, that is priceless! Lol!
Here's mine, there's a set of snooker balls around here too someplace... ;-) :-)
