    This is signed. I think it's Japanese and excellent quality. Not sure why i collect these choppers, but i have dozens and some quite old ones too. This one is just excellent quality - you can feel it while using this one.

      I have an old one around here that my wife had passed down from her grandmother. I forget the mark but it isn't Asian. It works fine to chop off fish heads.They are pretty popular items on eBay if they are old and marked.
