This is an elegant piece of Victorian glass in a Peachblow style spreading pink - white colouration.
It is made from two layers of cased glass - a deep pink shading to white, over a thick white interior, with a smooth satin finish.
The vase measures 16.5 cm tall, 4.8 cm across the cut & polished top rim, & 6 cm across the base.
There are two clear applied handles, & some rather Japanese inspired hand painted decoration of a flying crane seen through bare branches.
I think most likely of Bohemian origin, perhaps Harrach.
Beautiful, Marin, and almost minimalist in décor, which I like.
The crane is beautiful - I like how detailed it is. Very nice!
I adore this one! Wonderful!
Very nice love the Crane. Have you tried checking it with the UV light?
Really pretty!
Many thanks, Peggy! Yes, it's simple yet stylish...
Thanks also, Michelle!
Much appreciated, vintagelamp!
Cheers, Bernard! Yes, have given the UV light a go, but no result on this one. As you would know, some of this peachblow type glass does glow (I have a few) but not this one.
Thanks also, Mrstyndall!
Hi Marin, I thought it would judging by the ones I have too, well there is a lesson to be learned!
