This vase has the PN II 7901, in the pattern book it is labeled "orange opal with russian green, decor 394" and was made for Ludwig Fränkel in Berlin. Although the surrounding patterns are "attributed" to Franz Hofstätter (the shapes), I suspect that the decor of this vase is one of the last designs by Adolf Beckert for the Lötz company, or was influenced by him. Loosely set dots are a well-known style element in his decors, and he often used the shapes of other designers to apply his decors to them. Beckert left the Lötz factory in 1911 when this vase was produced, but remained in contact with the company. Since only this single copy with this decor is noted on the pattern, I assume that the vase shown here is decor 394. Which, however, has not yet been verified.
Thick, colorless glass with an orange-opal underlay, covered in Russian green, with a hoarfrost pattern is etched  in the French style.
