Found this at the thrift store today. An Native American doll of a man made of what looks like deer hide, it has no beadwork but it does have all the details drawn on or marked on with leather working tools. Tassels hang off the arms, legs, and head. There’s a small hole on the side which shows the stuffing made of wool, grass, and maybe fur. Stands at 9 1/2”. It looks like it was sewn with a machine so perhaps late 19th, early 20th century. Any info would be very appreciated!
I’ve added a photo of a similar doll from ca. 1900 at the California Historical Society Collection
