I know i've seen these before, but i can't remember what it is used for or anything about it. It's nearly 11 inches long and is made of very fine leather. and it has a wonderful deco design! I need to wax and polish it. Any info appreciated.

It looks like it would hold some sort of daily planner, notebook, or address book?
Maybe. it has two places to hold fairly thin documents one foot wide.
