I found this little lantern today at a second hand store. i assumed it was all made of cement as that's what the lid is. I was surprised to find that the three lower pieces are all carved stone and only the lid is cement. I put it together like this, but no idea if it is correct or not.

Looking at the top I would flip it over. Looks like the center is made to seat in the top of the lantern. Just my 2 cents not a professional opinion.

thanks fhrjr2. this top was not meant to be on this piece. it is made of cement, and the rest is carved stone. I have lots of these old lamp lids at the nursery. i'll try on a few different ones to see which looks best.

OK well I'm not familiar with these. Looks like it would fit and make a hell of a bird bath if it was flipped over. Can't beat a heated bath :)

strange we miss an knob , but at least i tried, i think the question is , is this Oribe , no it aint,

the second question is , is this oki doro , what means tactile feels like mud , it probably

is it a wide roof lantarn, well it could be , it got no knob, but my best guess is Tamate Oki Doro
