I collect Roman republican silver coins. At the moment I have 65. Now they cost 10 times as much as they cost at auctions, when I started collecting. Here's my latest acquisition. A silver denar from 81 B.C. Avers: Venushead with diadem. Revers: Double cornucopia. Cr. 375/2. 1(+). When it was struck, Julius Caesar was a young man at 19. Maybe he held it in his hand ? We'll never know.
