Help Identify These Plates!
Need some help on these plates..I can't ID them. My friend broke one and they have some sentimental attachment to them. No marks or symbols...1970s or earlier.
I do know a few things about glass, but these got me stumped.
dav2no1, It looks like these are about 12.75 inches in diameter, so they're not ordinary dinner plates, but rather some kind of serving pieces.
This is a job for TallCakes.
agree, the size points to a torte or charger plate. Maybe try a photo on neutral background to compare at Replacements.com
several companies made similar ringed band motifs but didn't see a match...
Thanks ..I guess they will remain a mystery
dav2no1, That's too bad. It sounds like maybe you don't live close enough to your friend to help them take more pictures of the item.
With a couple good pictures (as TallCakes suggested, on a neutral background), they could go even wider than Replacements dot com by using Google:

I just tried it with the first picture in this post, and didn't see anything, but that's not saying they couldn't get lucky with a better picture.
Working on new pictures

Found these...kinda similar
Jeannette Swirl Ultramarine Depression Glass Bread and Butter Plates.
dav2no1, Hey presto, new picture on a neutral background. :-)
Unfortunately, it didn't seem to help with the Google Image search. :-(
Jeannette Glass did make more than one of their patterns in the aquamarine color, but unfortunately, I don't see anything like that serving piece in any color:
https://kandmantiques.com/jeannette-glass-co-history
None of the other depression glass makers seem to have made that color, or at least they didn't use the term aquamarine.
When you open it up to light blue, you get a lot of hits.
Still no pattern with those bands of concentric rings. :-(
The closest I've found thus far is this Anchor Hocking pattern:

13” Torte Plate in gorgeous Ice Blue. This is Park Avenue made by Anchor Hocking c1990. This was the reboot pattern in celebration to the extremely popular Manhattan pattern produced by AH in the depression era.
The torte plate measures 12 7/8” diameter.

Hmmm, Anchor Hocking Ring or Banded Ring:

also thought banded ring as a possibility but not an exact match. many candidates at "R" but still not seeing a match

Thank you for all the efforts and links. I don't like when people tell me I can't find something. But this pattern seems to be eluding me..so far
TallCakes, Yeah, I kind of knew when your first comment on this post was not a positive pattern ID that this one would be elusive. :-(
I took a cruise through Replacements dot com myself, and didn't see anything.
dav2no1,
"I don't like when people tell me I can't find something."
Gets your fighting blood up, huh? };-)
The ever-changing, ever-growing Intertubes might still provide an answer on this one of these days.
One can only hope..
after your friend broke it did you bust bust kneecap ....lol gota love friends ....Sooo I have a few what they call "threaded" plates ,cups, bowels might be worth punching up threaded glass or something ..love the color ...good luck.
