    Time for a proper antique.
This is a Prattware Jug commemorating Admiral Nelson, made shortly after his death at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805. One side has a depiction of Nelson, the other has Thomas Hardy on it, who was the Captain of the HMS Victory, Nelson's flagship. Nelson called for Hardy after being shot, and his last words are famous for being "Kiss me, Hardy"

The name Pratt Ware is historically associated with relief decorated, underglaze painted creamware made from about 1780 to 1840. The name relates to a family of potters working in Staffordshire in the late eighteenth century . The generic link to the name has been made because of the existence of two early jugs, both marked PRATT, but the style was made by many other potters in Staffordshire at the time and as most are unmarked all pottery in that style become known as Prattware.

Beautiful antique jug, remembering the Nelson-Hardy battle scenes in Olivier film
