Collectors, does anyone recognise this mark ?
Also, do you see the black mark, it appears to be an artists signature?
I would be very very grateful if someone would take on this challenge
Note: the signature is from a stoneware Asian punch bowl in the style of famille rose
Many thanks
actually it is not that difficult
it is a qianlong nian zhi mark (1736-1722)
the mark right on top is a fishhook ( option is qianlong or guanghu , but is an flat fishhook )
Then you look at the right under symbol with an sort key in it then is qianlong
so the only thing you have to do is litteraly finding the key
the vase is quite new made after 1960 because it is thinly stamped and in the more expensive pieces the da ming symbols are in ( and the corrosion of the mark is different)
on top of the photo the color black is shining which also makes it a new piece
there is no artist mark on it
there are two options a proprietor mark or an batching mark this is generic , so probably an batching mark
i haven,t seen a picture probably a family rose because in the Bai Hua Bu Lu Di ????? Mille-fleurs vases the flowers are different
Wow, Apostata, that’s a load of interesting information, I bow to your knowledge
Thank you
Peter
