I rescued an almost unrecognizable combination square blade with protractor from the recesses of an old abandoned barn a few weeks ago. Once cleaned and restored to serviceable condition, I found a Millers Falls Tool Co. (c. 1938-61) No. 182 Bevel Protractor with 12" tempered steel blade. The blade is notched on either end to hold a pencil while marking for a ripping cut, and is graduated in 8ths, 16ths, 32nds , and 64ths.

It won’t win any beauty contests, and its complexion took a real hit from its neglect, but it now works again as it was intended – and that’s what’s important!

Great tool & nice find. My grandfather was an engineer & always had his protractor on the drawing board at home, perhaps this model is one he would have used
