cute but an impossible combination in style and for technical purposes

it is signed da ming xuande nian zhi which means great king xuande period made ( 1426-1435)

      the tonality is acacadabra

      DOUCAI

Literal translation: "colors which fit together" but also 'contrasting' or 'joined colors'. Decoration in a combination of underglaze cobalt blue outlines and enamels added on top of the fired glaze, within the outlines. Invented during the Ming, Xuande period but are mostly associated to the Ming, Chenghua reign (1465-87)

      WUCAI

Wucai meaning five enamels or "five color ware" is in reality mostly three enamels (red, green and yellow) within outlines in blackish dry cobalt, underglaze blue, plus the white of the porcelain body, all in all making up five colors.

Wucai, like doucai, is a combination of underglaze blue and overglaze polychrome enamels. However, where the soft underglaze blue of doucai was primarily used for dainty outlines that lay the groundwork for elegant little washes of pale enamel colors, the dark blue of wucai was applied in bold washes to complement vigorous splashes of strong overglaze colors, and outlining was mostly done in overglaze red, brown, or black.

so it is not even doucai or wucai

in the mid is an cog wheel motif ( teethrow)motif , what ought to be related to Wanli Period and as far as i known a non existing combination this way not even as a later copy

it is a cute vase made by someone with or an extreme sense of humor and fantasy

the vase is as BRAND new

Thank you for such a detailed response. I have a question, when you mentioned it was made by someone with an extreme sense of humor and fantasy and the Vase is as Brand new, are you saying that this combination not being Doucai or Wucai, does that make this a rare hybrid version?

If you could please elaborate on the last part of what you mentioned

      Thank you ????

well you have to run the world ducai chager en wucai charger , you have to see because i have a lot of explaining to concerning complementary colours and afterglaring of the glazing

it. is simple not consistent, the glazing the model, and the copies

my description of hybrid is an combination of different technices
that is a bit tough to explain , because people always think the enamel is painted,
and actually it is almost NEVER painted, a lot is an tenplate , a lot is an press through stencil etc

well let.s cut to the chase for discussion sake , thesis say got an repetitive motif , like an pending jewel design , or an diaper designer or a ruyi scepter design , well the easy way is is using a tenplate , you got the perfect design because the tenplate is completely congruent , so you can,t make mistakes

hybrid= you use tenplates for the non periferie ( because they are repeating ) and the inner part you actuallypaint and glaze , and i promise almost knowbody will notice

correction i promise you almost nobody will notice, in fact i think most of the people won,t notice when it is complete transfer ware
