This large heavy beveled glass mirror is held in a frame within a frame, measuring 25-3/4" wide x 57-1/2" tall. The mirror frame is fixed within the larger one, it doesn't look like it was meant to pivot unless it was first that way *a long* time ago -- there isn't any remains of hardware for that and the strips and screws now holding it in place look just as old as the rest of it. I don't know what kind of wood or what kind of original finish it had, but I am guessing the now "washed" whitish paint on it isn't that. The only marks on it are stenciled "228 1/2" on the back with a stamped "H" over that.
AnythingObscure, Cool. :-)
This could be just me, but that "H" doesn't looked stamped so much as it does carved.
