Had grandma’s coffee table for a while. Was going to discard it but went to look up on Google the brand and didn’t realize how old this table was. Going to keep now and try to clean it up. I would like to know what it’s supposed to look like originally but I can not find a picture of this table anywhere. Thanks for looking.
Eddievee, Cool. :-)
LANE
ALTAVISTA VIRGINIA
STYLE NO 696 01
SERIAL NO 22851
For Lane cedar chests, the serial number would be read backwards, i.e., "22851" would translate to 15 August 1922:

However, while Lane was certainly in business in 1922, they weren't yet making furniture other than cedar chests:

From cedar chests, Lane expanded to occasional tables in 1951, casegoods in 1956, and accent pieces in 1965.

So it's likely that the serial number on your coffee table should be read left to right, which would make it 22 August 1951, which would be in line with Lane's production history.
I didn't see one exactly like yours out there, either, so perhaps you should contact Lane:

Failing that, perhaps the folks at causeafrockus dot com could help you:

Thank you @keramikos for the information. I will look into the sited you mentioned. Cheers!
Eddievee, You're welcome. :-)
That causeafrockus website may actually be more helpful than Lane, because Lane isn't under its original ownership.
From the pics the table is not refinished then those are the colours.
