I came across this old pictorial Bible at a Thrift store. As you can see, it's in rough shape. So rough, that I don't want to open it and cause anymore damage. Looking to find some insight on it.

well the first couple of pages would tell you a lot about the book. be careful and look for the publisher information about the year and dates -
Welcome to CW!
When you do open it, be sure to check for family data; births, deaths, marriages, etc. There could be important genealogical data inside. Further damage from handling Is unavoidable, but if it is not a rare book then that is not a major concern but you can still treat it with the respect an old book is due.
I'll add pictures of the inside. It's in such bad shape that I didn't want to open it too much.
Opening it and checking the data RichmondLori mentions is the first step in determining if it is a rare book.
Thanks everyone! I'll look at it again when I get home!
got no time but this this is very easy to trace even without the Centennial Commission rights consent , this something like 1882, you can contact the factory , and the only spread is the duration of the rights
Curious if you have opened this and found any information???
there should be a page that addresses the printer and the date of publish, and it it is first or second edition,
Never mind - with the glasses and my head on straight I can read 1884 Standard Edition. ?
