Presented here is a beautiful Queen Elizabeth II presentation gift of a Cartier Cigarette Case with Cartier Sterling Silver Hallmarks and a 24K Gold ER Crown. The cigarette case fits in a deco style Cartier box of a fine red leather with a gold inlay border and Queen’s monogram. The Cartier box does show wear consistent with age and we recently had the spine professionally restored ensuring the box is useable. The iconic box alone is a rare item. Rarer still is this elegant sterling silver cigarette case, a gift, which is engraved to the RCMP Asst. Commander who accompanied the Queen and Prince Philip on their 1959 Royal Tour to Canada. One of the key events of this tour was the opening of the St. Lawrence Seaway. Total weight of the cigarette case is 6.5 ounces. Folded, the cigarette case measures 3” w x 5” h and the Cartier box measures 4 ¾” w x 5 ¾” h.
