I picked up this footed bowl recently. I really like the dragons. I don't know when it was made, but assume either Guangxu or early 20th c. I'm not sure what the characters etched on the inside of the bowl are all about and the mark on the bottom is illegible to me. Any info appreciated!
Chilongs, not dragons. aka Chinese water dragons. 1860-1880 - i was told.
Nice colours..
thanks inky!
well there guess is as good as mine
its is da qing tongzhi nian zhi , copple stones left under can,t be seen but are universal
the right mark on the right ought to an inoculated gorilla with upturned shoulders
so it is prone left u , pronge left right and pronge downside right
probably export porcelain
imo opinion it is not a ferro red closed frame
it think to run this at is his earlest guisi or renchen year
run the pinyin, nothing useful came up as a usename, the other reason the used names to provide food for large numbers at weddings
Right up my alley!!! Beautiful!
thank you apostata and vintagelamp!
