Here's a cute little thing that certainly could have been useful to somebody's gramms -- a full 'sewing kit' in a zippered leather case, with the basic tools + various threads so to be prepared to fix most anything typically 'wardrobe malfunction-ish'?! Stamped "GENUINE LEATHER" inside, there aren't any other marks on anything but a few of its parts. It measures a convenient purse-sized 4-1/2" x 6-1/2" when closed, I'd guess 1960's-70's for this one...?? :-) :-)
I’ve never seen yarn (?) on those circular zigzag disks or big plastic needles like something used to repair knitted garments.
For a “travel” sewing kit, it has several items not usually seen, such as the retractable measuring tape marked “foreign” .
The entire kit looks “foreign” indeed, super cool, special, in great shape, pretty, and barely used…nice!
Watchsearcher, Yup, super cool, and foreign-looking.
In particular, that tape measure. It's not just that it's labeled with the word "Foreign." Take a look at the measurement marks. You can see "1,' and "2," but the smallest divisions thereof are in tenths. Metric.
AnythingObscure, are there U.S. customary measurement marks (i.e., inches) on the other side?
