After days and days of much needed rain (for which I am thankful for every drop!!) we finally had some sunshine that allowed me to take photos of some of my latest pieces. This piece is a lovely example of Loetz’s Astartig décor, in PNII-1828. Astartig is candia glass with a Silberiris finish, with organic protrusions. In German the word ‘Astartig’, means branch-like, which I think suits this décor well. This vase has a wonderful iridescence with lots of raspberry hues in the light. It dates to 1904, and is just over 5-1/4” (13.5cm) tall.
Another with a lovely décor, Michelle! I'm expecting a hat trick!
Beautiful! Happy New Year Michelle!
Thank you so much Peggy - I do have a few more that I need to show off! :)
