We have this Signer adjustable stool. We don’t really know anything about. It was found during a cleanup.

Hi, Mjc123. :-)
This snuck in under my radar in the last few days. Things can move pretty fast around here, because of those "Love it," and "Like it" functions.
This apparently is a machinist's stool. Here is a group of three in different styles:

If you use "Singer machinist stool" as your search criteria, you'll get quite a few hits.
However, the only other one I've found that was upholstered is this one:

I find upholstery on an industrial stool from the early 20th century a bit suspect.
Indeed, the upholstery on the one at the antiquesatlas website looks a bit sloppily done for all that it's advertised as being leather.
It feels like a retrofit.
Even more so than the leather, velvet brocade fabric strikes me as unlikely in a 1910/1920/1930 factory setting.
On the other hand, the upholstery stuffing on yours doesn't look particularly modern. Perhaps a worker absconded with one from a factory early on, and upholstered it for home use as an organ stool.
It's a pretty cool find overall.
